Here we have a very solid 1940 Chevrolet 1.5 ton Truck. I have looked this truck over very closely and it is a very nice truck for a restoration. It has the full drivetrain but the motor Is locked up but it has been sitting since 1968 so that is a little expected. This is a one owner truck. Was bought new in 1940 and stayed in the family as the farm truck. They would use it driving around the property and to town about once a week when they needed to pick up supplies. Finally in 1968 they had purchased a new vehicle and this one had been parked in a barn until fairly recently. I didn't see or find any rust in the cab. It is a very solid piece. It does have some dents, but I don't believe any patch work is going to be needed to fix the body on the truck they didn't crease or heavily damage the body panels. The interior is complete. The seat its self seems to be in good shape and not filled with broken springs. The door panels and dash are also in great shape. The floor board on this truck is in excellent shape. I don't think I can stress enough on how nice this truck has held up over the years. The frame is nice and straight and I didn't see any bad rust on the frame or underneath the truck. The chrome on this truck has held up excellently. The headlight bezels are nice and only have some discoloration on the underside of the moulding. The grille is also in very good shape. Has some light pitting and a small amount of damage to one of the ribs(Shown in the photos above) But these grilles are very difficult to find in a condition as good or complete as this one. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call. I will be more than happy to send you any additional photos or answer any questions you have about the truck. Call Rich (719) 338-1053
